Schools' Workshop
![]() |
A Tale of Two Bridges. The Shaldon Festival, in partnership with the Helen Foundation and Bath Philharmonia, and with generous support from the Big Lottery Fund, has planned a six day, schools' music workshop during the Festival week. A team of animateurs led by Bath Philharmonia's conductor, Jason Thornton, and assisted by students from Bath Spa and Exeter Universities, will work with selected pupils from Dawlish Community College, Ratcliffe School and Oaklands Park School. The theme, A Tale of Two Bridges, takes its inspiration from the fascinating links between London Bridge, built from local Dartmoor granite and transported to Arizona, and Shaldon Bridge, which sings mysteriously in the wind. |
